Ingredients
Chicken (400g), diced into 2cm chunks
Onions (1-2 pieces), sliced thinly
Mushrooms (200g), halved
Paprika (1 tbsp)
Butter (1 tbsp), unsalted
Chicken stock (2 cups)
Dijon mustard (1-2 tbsp)
Cornflour (2 tbsp), for slurry
Crème fraiche (200g), half-fat
Instructions
Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onions and mushrooms until softened
Add cooked vegetables and chicken to slow cooker
Stir in paprika, Dijon mustard, and chicken stock
Cook on low for 7-8 hours
Mix cornflour with 2 tbsp water and add to slow cooker; stir until sauce thickens
Fold in crème fraiche and serve with egg noodles or rice
Notes
Thaw chicken completely before using
For juicier results, use boneless chicken thighs
Adjust paprika or mustard to taste
