Description

Sweet Baby Ray’s Crockpot Chicken is the ultimate solution for busy weeknights, offering a tender, succulent meal with minimal effort. By slowly simmering chicken breasts in a balanced, tangy barbecue sauce, you achieve fall-apart results perfect for sandwiches, salads, or bowls. This foolproof method ensures moisture is locked into every bite, resulting in restaurant-quality shredded barbecue chicken that satisfies both kids and adults alike. It is a modern, convenient staple that brings deep, smoky comfort food flavors directly to your home kitchen with just a few minutes of prep.

Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1.5 cups Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring each breast is evenly coated.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender and pulls apart easily.
Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
Return the shredded chicken to the sauce in the crockpot and stir to combine.
Serve hot on buns or as a topping for fresh greens.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Use two forks to shred the chicken while it is still warm for easier handling. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture before cooking.
