Description

Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a perfect weeknight solution that combines tender chicken breasts with a rich, buttery garlic cream sauce. This Italian-inspired comfort dish features a velvety sauce made from cream cheese, butter, and Italian aromatics, designed to cling perfectly to delicate angel hair pasta. It is an effortless, restaurant-quality meal that delivers deep, savory flavors while requiring minimal active time in the kitchen. Ideal for busy families, this recipe produces consistent, foolproof results that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup chicken broth (non-alcoholic)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning blend
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound angel hair pasta
Fresh parsley for garnish
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides.
Place the seared chicken into the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, chicken broth, butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 2 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Prepare the angel hair pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Serve the chicken and creamy sauce over the bed of cooked angel hair pasta.
Top with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

You can shred the chicken directly in the pot before serving for a heartier texture. Ensure the cream cheese is softened or at room temperature to prevent lumpy sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of broth if the sauce becomes too thick.
