Description
A sweet and salty no-bake snack made with crispy rice cereal coated in a rich chocolate and peanut butter mixture, then tossed in powdered sugar. Perfect for parties or on-the-go snacking.
Ingredients
9 cups Rice Chex cereal
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
Place the Rice Chex cereals in a large bowl.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and well combined.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir to fully coat.
Spread the coated cereal evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Allow it to cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
Transfer cooled cereal to a zip-top bag and add powdered sugar. Shake the bag until the cereal is fully coated.
Store in an airtight container.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, Rice Chex is recommended over other cereals.
Corn Chex can be used as a substitute.
For a less sweet version, use dark chocolate.
Store at room temperature for up to 1 week.
