Description

This soul-satisfying one-pan wonder combines tender, seared beef strips with fluffy rice infused with savory beef broth. Coated in a sticky, umami-packed garlic and honey butter glaze, this dish is a restaurant-grade culinary experience you can whip up in under thirty minutes. It is the perfect, protein-packed solution for busy weeknights when you want a gourmet meal without the hassle of excessive cleanup.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
1.5 cups long-grain white rice
3 cups beef broth (halal certified)
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef strips until browned and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, toast the rice for 1-2 minutes until slightly translucent.
Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for about 12-15 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic.
Add the butter to the skillet, melt it, then stir in the sauce mixture.
Return the beef to the skillet and toss everything together over medium heat until the sauce thickens and glazes the beef and rice.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure your beef broth is halal certified to maintain the integrity of the dish. You can add sliced bell peppers or snap peas for extra crunch and color. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
