Ingredients
32 oz frozen beef meatballs (ensure halal certified)
1 packet onion soup mix
2 packets brown gravy mix
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sliced cremini mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Place the frozen beef meatballs into the slow cooker basin.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, onion soup mix, and brown gravy packets until well combined.
Add the sliced mushrooms and chopped onion into the slow cooker with the meatballs.
Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the meatballs, mushrooms, and onions.
Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
Gently stir before serving to ensure an even coating of the thickened gravy.
Serve warm over mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles.
Notes
Keep the meatballs frozen when adding to the slow cooker to maintain their texture. If you prefer a thicker gravy, whisk in a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with cold water during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
