Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
4 medium potatoes (diced)
1 onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 can crushed tomatoes (24 oz)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (vegetarian option optional)
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups water (for simmering)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
Heat olive oil in a 12-inch oven-safe skillet over medium heat
Brown ground beef, breaking into small pieces
Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened
Stir in crushed tomatoes, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper
Add diced potatoes and 2 cups water, bring to boil
Simmer 5 minutes on stove, then transfer to oven
Bake 20-25 minutes, until potatoes are tender and golden
