Ingredients

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely diced
2 cups tomato puree
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

In a bowl, marinate chicken thighs with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder for at least 15 minutes.
Heat oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
Add diced onions and sauté until translucent and slightly golden.
Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
Pour in the tomato puree, cumin, and coriander.
Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a silky consistency.
Adjust salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. Serve hot with steamed basmati rice or warm garlic naan bread.
