Description

A delicious hand-held wrap featuring seasoned ground beef, crisp veggies, and a tangy homemade sauce. A lighter, no-salt-alcohol alternative to fast food, with a perfect balance of savory beef, melted cheese, and zesty pickles in warm flour tortillas.

Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef (80% lean)
4 large flour tortillas
8 slices American cheese (premier)
1 cup shredded lettuce
4 tbsp shredded dill pickles
2 tbsp minced onions (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup mayonnaise (regular or light)
2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Optional: minced garlic to taste

Instructions

Preheat skillet or grill to medium heat
Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder
Form into 4 evenly sized patties
Cook each patty for 4 minutes total, flipping once
Place a cheese slice on each patty to melt while continuing
Warm tortillas in microwave or on grill
Mix mayonnaise, mustard, relish, vinegar, and brown sugar for sauce
Assemble wraps: Tortilla + beef patty + pickles + onions + lettuce
Spread 2 tbsp sauce across each tortilla

Notes

Assembly in advance works best if refrigerated for later warming
Substitute cheese with shredded mozzarella or provolone for authenticity
Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier version
Freeze assembled wraps for meal prep (reheat in oven)
Adjust sauce ingredients to match your preferred tanginess level
