Ingredients
2 pounds low moisture mozzarella cheese, block form
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
3 cups breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Avocado oil or another high smoke point oil, for frying
Instructions
Preheat deep fryer to 325°F
Cut mozzarella block into 15 equal strips about 6 inches long and 1/2 inch wide
In a shallow bowl, combine flour with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and parsley
In a second bowl, beat eggs
In a third bowl, pour breadcrumbs mixed with paprika
Dip mozzarella strips first in seasoned flour, then in egg wash, and finally in breadcrumb mixture
Place breaded sticks on parchment-lined tray and freeze 1 hour until solid
Fry frozen sticks in oil at 325°F for 30-45 seconds per side until golden brown
Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil
