Description
Crispy Beef Tacos feature juicy ground beef and melted cheddar cheese encased in oven-baked corn tortillas for a golden, shatter-point crunch. This method eliminates the mess of deep-frying while maintaining structure for bold toppings like avocado and tomatoes.

Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, salt, pepper, and 1 cup water

Fill each tortilla with beef and top with shredded cheese
Place filled tortillas on a baking sheet, fold in half, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and crispy
Let cool slightly before serving
Notes
Form tortilla shells by flattening folded tacos during baking to avoid sagging
Cheese acts as a barrier to prevent sogginess
Use a cast iron skillet for even heating and a charred edge
Substitute corn tortillas with cornmeal-mix tortillas for gluten-free options
Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole
Reheat leftovers in a dry skillet or oven at 350°F for 3-5 minutes
