Description

Succulent large shrimp smothered in a rich, garlic-herb sauce of heavy cream, Parmesan, and chicken broth. Sear the shrimp for a golden crust, then coat in a velvety, citrus-kissed sauce. Serve over pasta or rice for a high-protein, elegant dish ready in 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
45 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until golden; set aside.
Add minced garlic to pan; sauté 1 minute.
Pour in chicken broth and simmer 2 minutes to deglaze.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning.
Return shrimp to sauce and cook 2 minutes
Adjust salt and pepper.

Notes

Use frozen shrimp if fresh; thaw and pat dry.
Substitute ghee for higher smoke point butter.
For richness, add 1/2 tsp lemon zest.
Serve with al dente pasta or fluffy rice.
Reserve 2 tbsp sauce for future use in halal recipes.
