Description
A bold and comforting fusion dish that marries the heartiness of spiced ground beef with a velvety, tangy Cajun-infused cream cheese sauce. Perfectly suited for busy weeknights, this recipe uses farfalle pasta to scoop up the rich, flavorful sauce, delivering a restaurant-quality meal in under 30 minutes. The cream cheese base creates a luxurious, stable texture that elevates simple pantry ingredients into a sophisticated feast.
Ingredients
12 oz farfalle (bowtie) pasta
1 lb lean ground beef
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the farfalle according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the Cajun seasoning until fully cooked.
Lower the heat to medium and stir in the minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the softened cream cheese and milk to the skillet, whisking until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickened slightly.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing thoroughly to coat every piece in the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of milk if the sauce has thickened too much in the fridge. For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red chili flakes.
