Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh basil (or 1 teaspoon dried)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Place chicken breasts on a baking sheet, season with salt and pepper
Cut lengthwise to halve and flatten the chicken
Mix ricotta with parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, and basil
Spoon ricotta mixture over each chicken breast
Pour marinara sauce over the top
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce
Bake for 25 minutes
Transfer to oven’s top third for 10 minutes to brown cheese
