Description
Air fryer salmon offers a high-protein, nutrient-packed meal with tender, flaky fish and a perfectly seared, flavorful crust. This quick and easy method delivers restaurant-quality results in under 15 minutes using simple seasonings and no deep-frying.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), fresh or thawed, center-cut preferred
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika (use smoked for deeper flavor)
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
Brush both sides of the fillets with olive oil.
In a small bowl, mix garlic powder and paprika.
Sprinkle the seasoning blend evenly over both sides of the salmon.
Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down (if skin-on), ensuring they are not overlapping.
Air fry for 7 minutes.
Carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from the air fryer and serve hot.
Notes
Use center-cut fillets for even cooking and best texture.
For a higher smoke point, substitute olive oil with avocado oil if desired.
Avoid overfilling the air fryer basket to ensure proper air circulation.
Let the salmon rest for 1-2 minutes for better flake appearance.
