Description

Crispy, golden mozzarella sticks made with panko breadcrumbs and air-fried to perfection for a halal-friendly, crowd-pleasing appetizer with melted cheese inside.


Ingredients

All-purpose flour
1 cup
Egg wash (beaten)

Panko breadcrumbs

Black pepper

Instructions

Line a parchment-lined baking sheet with 12 string cheese sticks
Place in freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm
Toss cheese sticks in a flour mixture
Coat in egg wash
Press into seasoned panko mixture
Refrigerate 10-15 minutes to set coating
Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C)
Arrange sticks in single layer in fryer basket
Cook 6-8 minutes until golden and crisp
