Flaky strawberry cream cheese heart danishes made with puff pastry, perfect for Valentine’s dessert baking.
Ingredients
1 package puff pastry sheets
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberry preserves
1 egg, beaten
Powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet.
2. Cut puff pastry into squares and shape into hearts.
3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Fill each heart with cream cheese and strawberry preserves.
5. Brush edges with egg wash.
6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
Notes
Use cold pastry for cleaner shaping.
Serve slightly warm for best texture.
