Tender slow cooker honey garlic chicken with a sweet-savory glaze, easy prep, and perfect for healthy weeknight meals.
Ingredients
2 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp minced ginger (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
2. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, ginger, and pepper.
3. Pour sauce over chicken.
4. Cook 4–5 hours on LOW or 2–3 hours on HIGH.
5. Remove chicken, shred or slice, return to pot.
6. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook 10–15 minutes.
7. Serve with rice and garnish.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt.
Add vegetables during final hour for a complete one-pot meal.
