Description

Simple honey garlic chicken and broccoli made with tender chicken breast, fresh broccoli, and a sweet garlic soy sauce. Perfect for quick healthy dinners.


Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 large head broccoli florets

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

3 cloves garlic minced

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons cold water

Cooked rice or noodles

Sesame seeds


Instructions

1. Cut chicken breasts into bite sized cubes.

2. Mix soy sauce honey vinegar garlic ginger sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

3. Heat olive oil in skillet and cook chicken until golden and cooked through.

4. Remove chicken and cook broccoli until bright green and slightly tender.

5. Return chicken to skillet and add sauce mixture.

6. Stir cornstarch slurry into the pan and cook until sauce thickens.

7. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

Use low sodium soy sauce to control salt levels.

For extra vegetables add bell peppers or carrots.
