Description
Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet is a quick one pan steak dinner with crispy potatoes and juicy steak bites cooked in rich garlic butter.
Ingredients
1 lb T-bone or sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, diced
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp dried thyme
2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Cook potatoes for 10-12 minutes until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
3. Season steak pieces with salt, pepper, and thyme.
4. Add half the butter to the skillet and sear steak bites for 2 minutes without stirring.
5. Flip steak and cook another 1-2 minutes until browned.
6. Add remaining butter and minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
7. Return potatoes to the skillet and toss with steak and garlic butter.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Cut potatoes into small cubes for faster cooking.
Use a cast iron skillet for the best sear.
Avoid overcrowding the pan to keep steak tender.
