A comforting Easy Classic Stuffed Peppers Recipe made with tender bell peppers filled with seasoned meat, rice, tomatoes, and optional cabbage for a hearty family dinner.
Ingredients
6 bell peppers
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 cup cooked white rice
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
1 medium onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella
Instructions
1. Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds.
2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil.
3. Add meat and seasonings; cook fully.
4. Stir in rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and cabbage.
5. Stuff peppers with mixture.
6. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes covered.
7. Uncover, add cheese, and bake 10–15 more minutes.
Notes
Use mixed pepper colors for visual appeal.
Make ahead by preparing filling one day early.
Freeze cooked peppers for up to 3 months.
