Classic chicken chow mein with tender chicken, vegetables, noodles, and a savory homemade sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast
2 cups cabbage
1 large carrot
2 garlic cloves
Green onions
12 oz chow mein noodles
1/2 cup chicken broth
4 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp oil
3 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
1. Slice chicken thinly.
2. Mix sauce ingredients.
3. Cook noodles and set aside.
4. Cook chicken and remove.
5. Cook vegetables.
6. Add chicken, noodles, and sauce.
7. Toss until coated and thickened.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce.
Serve immediately for best texture.
