Description
A classic cheesy scalloped potatoes recipe made with tender sliced potatoes, garlic cream, cheddar, and parmesan cheese baked until golden and bubbly.
Ingredients
3 pounds Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
2 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 cups heavy cream
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Thinly slice potatoes evenly.
3. Butter a 9×13 baking dish.
4. Mix cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
5. Layer potatoes and cheeses.
6. Pour cream mixture over layers.
7. Cover and bake 45 minutes.
8. Uncover and bake 25-30 minutes until golden.
9. Rest 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use freshly grated cheese for best results.
Can be assembled 24 hours ahead before baking.
